On Super Bowl weekend we took off to the airport again and headed to Seattle.

We took the subway from the airport to the city and accidentally ended up at Pioneer Square and on our walk to the hostel we stopped at Pike Place Public Market Hall. At the hostel we met up with two other Au Pairs and waited for Sarah (Au Pair from the LA trip), who was gonna be our tour guide for the day.
We took the bus up to Kerry Park, which doesn’t look like one and isnt very spectacular itself, but the view over the city is just amazing. Back on the bus we took it down to the famous Gumwall, it was super gross, but definitely a must do. Our next stop was the waterfront, where we also went on the Ferris Wheel, which is worth its money for the view of the city.
From here our ways split: Sarah had to head home again, 2 other Au Pairs wanted to do something else. So Nadja and I went to the Monorail and took it over to the Spaceneedle. We had a perfect timing and ended up seeing the city at sunset and at night. On the way back we took the monorail again, stopped at Pike Place and then it was time to go to bed at the hostel.

After our breakfast at the hostel, we went to the first Starbucks in the world for a morning drink and then we went to the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. We went for a little walk there, ate some crepes and then it was time to head back to the mainland. The ferry is an awesome opportunity to see the skyline of Seattle.
We stopped at a German store to get a Bratwurst for our snack, before we went to see the Super Bowl at the hostel. We watched it with other guests and pretty much none of us had any idea what’s going on. After 3/4 of the game, Nadja and I headed to the airport in an uber and even got to see the end of the game there.
