For the last weekend trip of 2015 and New Years Eve my Au Pair Buddy and I headed to San Francisco, where we also met up with my Au Pair Companion from the flight VIE-NYC.

Right after I was done with work for the day, I put my new suitcase into the car and headed up to Nadja’s house to pick her up. Well the suitcase was almost too little, but we made it fit.
On the way to the airport we called everyone at home, because it was already midnight there. After we finally parked the car and got to the terminal, they had almost closed the check in for our flight, but let our suitcase still get on really quick. We already put our 2016 headbands on, which everybody enjoyed.
While it felt like the pilot hit the break during the flight, it seemed like her forgot that he had to turn on the ground and really hit the break again.
Once we had our suitcase we failed at making our way into the city by public transport so we got an Uber. We only had a little bit of time to get ready before the other Au Pairs picked us up and we headed to the Ferry Building to watch the firework. We got back to the hotel around 3am.

We started rather early at 11am on the search for some breakfast and a sightseeing bus tour and started our tour. We took in the whole tour at once, before we got off at Fishermanswharf and Pier 39. We even did the night tour over to Sausalito. And around 11pm it was time to get back to the hotel and to bed.

Since we had a packed day ahead of us, we decided to start around 9am already. We took the sightseeing bus to the city hall and on to the Painted Ladies (hello Full House). Our next stop was the Golden Gate Park, from where we took a different bus to the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked back across the bridge and hopped on the bus to Lombard Street. We walked up the street on one side and then down again on the other, crooked side. And then back up because we saw the cable car is up there, which we took down to Ghiradelli Square, where we went for a little stroll. We walked along the coast to Fisherman’s Wharf, where we bought some Sourdough Bread for dinner before we headed back to Union Square to shop for a bit and went back to the hotel.
3.January 2016
Since this was our last day, we started the day packing and checking out of the hotel. We got back on the bus and with a little change of plans we went to Chinatown. After a little bit of Souvenirshopping before we went back to the Airport. At the gate they told us that our flight would be delayed by at least 2 hours. So we spent 2 hours at the airport before we finally got on the plane and back to Phoenix.
