Grand Canyon and Sliding Rocks (Daytrip from Phoenix)

Some other Au Pairs and I decided to take a day trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and the Sliding Rocks in Sedona.

10.August 2019

The other girls and I met around 2am to head to Grand Canyon and watch the sunrise. Although the drive was 4 hours long and hard, the sunrise was worth it.

We stopped at a view View Points before we parked the car at the Visitor Center and took the shuttles into the National Park. We took the blue and the red line and got off at a few view points, that seemed to be worth it.

On our way back to Phoenix we stopped at the Sliding Rocks in Sedona, which are basically a natural slide on rocks.

We had parked the car about 20min down the road and 2 of us headed there to get the car and pick us up. After a while they called us to tell us, that they can’t come because the car is sitting on a rock and doesn’t move. By the time we got down there some guys had already dug a hole with their bare hands and got the car out of there.

Since there was nothing on our way, we went straight back to Phoenix, where we got just in time for dinner.

I love road trips like this, because there is so much adventure out there.
