Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon

Just a few days after Disneyland some other Au Pairs and I headed up north to see the Horseshoe Bend and the Antelope Canyon on a day trip from Phoenix.

The alarm rang fairly early (2:45am), because the other girls and I wanted to meet at another au pairs house around 4am. And while I thought I was late and the last one as always, I was actually the first one. We started the trip a little bit later than planned, but that was okay. I slept through most of the trip until we arrived at the Horseshoe Bend which was our first stop. It was really awesome, although it was kind of the wrong time of day since the sun was making a lot of shade around the river.

From here we headed straight to Antelope Canyon, where we took one of the mandatory tours. This is just breathtaking and in case you didn’t know, Apple and Windows both have a picture from here as one of their backgrounds.

Once the tour was over, we headed back to Phoenix, where we arrived around 7pm. The day was a total success.
